Peter Dinklage Wins Emmy

It’s easy to gloss over the hype and hoopla that comes with the barrage of bloated yankee-doodle awards shows, however it would be a shame not to commend Peter Dinklage for snaring the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in HBO’s Game Of Thrones. The pint sized star already has a stellar library of work including memorable performances in Seinfeld,  Death at a Funeral and Prince Caspian, however it is his genre bending portrayal of Tyrion Lanister that has made him one of the most interesting figures with dwarfism since Wee Man was popping ollies dressed as an oompa loompa. He managed to nail a character who’s power and status of his family name is constantly tempered by sneering and discrimination against his obvious, erm, shortfalls. Game of Thrones series two has allegedly just started filming in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
