Euthanasia Rollercoaster

A Lithuanian man has crafted a nice alternative for terminally ill patients, a roller coaster designed to kill the passenger, reports The Escapist. The idea behind the contraption is that its sends the rider on a series of twisting loops and plummeting drops (peaking at a height of 1,600 feet), subjecting them to almost 23G’s of force, stopping blood flow to the brain and eventually killing them, albeit with a sense of euphoria just before they go.

The “Euthanasia Coaster is a hypothetic euthanasia machine in the form of a roller coaster, engineered to humanely – with elegance and euphoria – take the life of a human being,” says the creator, Julijonas Urbonas. And yes, he has worked in amusement parks before.

During the huge ascent to the peak of the rollercoaster, the rider has time to reflect on their life before making the final decision at the very top, pressing a button to plunge to their death or slowly come back down to earth.
