Fake iPhone 5 Already Best Seller in China

Posted on October 4, 2011

Despite Apple preparing to unveil their latest iPhone today, Chinese knock-offs have been stealing their thunder in the far east for weeks.

Sky News reports that in back street Beijing markets, local phone developers created their iPhone 5s based on plans that were ‘stolen from Apple’ by a sneaky rogue employee, or what we like to think of as a bad apple.

The official launch is set to take place in a matter of hours, and is set to be hosted by new Apple boss Tim Cook in his first go at the gig since Steve Jobs resigned in August.
