Tsunami Balls Designed to Save Lives

Posted on October 4, 2011

In the wake of the earthquake and nuclear disaster in Japan earlier this year, a company has created personal survival balls to help save your life in the next natural disaster.

Wired reports that the ‘Noah’s Disaster Shelter’ made by New Cosmopower can fit four fully grown (Japanese, mind you) adults, and it’s waterproof design is so that it rights itself when submerged, preventing the occupants being thrown around amid violent waters.

The company’s president, Shoji Tanaka, said that in the downtime between disasters the pods could be used as toy houses for children.

At least they’d be prepared.
