Brisbane Garbos To Strike, Houses Smell

Posted on October 5, 2011

Don’t bother dragging out the bin in your slippers at some ungodly hour next Tuesday, Brisbane garbage collectors have decided to go on strike, as a pay dispute with the union rumbles on.

In a frankly rubbish decision, the Trade Workers Union have advised that no garbage will be collected in the first four hours of scheduled Tuesday shifts next week, as drivers argue over the required workload of 144 bins to be collected every hour.

This is perhaps one union that The Daily Waster is happy to get onside with, however we must warn that there are some well manky prawn heads that will really need to be gone by the week after, lest the neighbourhood cats finally overpower our wheelie bin.
