Piranhas Attack Beachgoers

Swimmers were sent paddling for their lives as schools of hungry piranhas began attacking them in a popular beach in northern Brazil, reports Discovery News.

At least 100 bathers were treated at the hospital in Jose de Freitas after the fish moved into the shallower waters as part of their annual nesting season.

Authorities have begun adding thousands of Tilapia (tiny little fish) for the piranhas to feast on, but faced with a choice between them and some Brazilian thighs, it’s pretty obvious what’s going to be on the menu.
