Priest Tells Locals ‘Don’t Die’ During Olympics Due To Traffic Congestion

Posted on October 20, 2011

Stratford vicar Carol Richards told parishioners brides should avoid organising weddings during the London 2012 Games reports The Courier Mail.

Richards also told church-goers in the region where most of the Olympic events will take place from July 27-August 12, that if there was a death, funerals should be planned on quiet Olympic days.

Vicar Richards’ comments came as a Reuters investigation showed Londoners were concerned over road congestion, increased food prices and security threats during the Games.

Wouldn’t want your funeral clashing with the badminton group stages, would you?
